Shopping in Majorca

Palma is a cosmopolitan city full of leisure, culture and a wide commercial offer that combines artisanal products with luxury emporiums.

Local shops with handmade products, renowned luxury brands, shopping centres, department stores... Mallorca has many options when it comes to enjoying an afternoon of shopping in a calm and refined way.

The main streets to start your shopping route in Palma are Avenida Jaime III and Paseo del Born, the city's golden mile. There you can find from the famous El Corte Inglés, a department store recognized throughout the country and where you can find a varied offer: from books, cosmetics, fashion, electronics... As well as luxury stores such as Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari, Rialto Living, Nicolás Joyeros, Relojería Alemana or Rouge Mallorca.

You can wander around the area and find shops with local and traditional products from the island: basketry, ceramics, blown glass, llengües cloth, etc. We also find options for tapas and a vermouth to take a break in the gastronomic markets of the city, the best known are the traditional ones: Mercat de l'Olivar and Mercat de Santa Catalina.

Leaving Palma and just ten minutes from the city is the luxury marina of Puerto Portals, which has many exclusive shops and a unique enclave where you can stroll among the rocking of yachts, sailboats and the sea breeze. In addition, its gastronomic offer goes through a world of flavors, literally, since it has traditional Mediterranean food restaurants such as the renowned Flanigan, which we invite you to visit due to its exquisite treatment and food, including oriental food in Tahini or the traditional Diablito.

Going into the interior of the island, we find many options where to look for handcrafted pieces that are characteristic of the place, such as the traditional blown glass from the factories of Can Gordiola in Algaida, Menestralia in Campanet and Lafiore in Esporles. You can visit the master glassmakers, enjoy their work and keep unique pieces. The towns of Artà and Capdepera stand out for their work in the basketry industry, creating ideal baskets to wear in summer in the Mediterranean.
